Ms Kate LeGrand
Research Student - MPhil/PhD - Epidemiology & Population Health
United Kingdom
I'm currently working towards my PhD using mathematical modelling to determine the impact of interventions on intercommunity transmission of tuberculosis in KwaZulu-Natal, South Africa.
Previously, I've led geospatial studies of tuberculosis and other critical topics in infectious disease epidemiology, used community based participatory research to assess local health and economic needs, and have contributed to analyses and publications for the Global Burden of Disease study.
I completed my Master of Public Health and a Graduate Certificate in Medical Anthropology at the University of South Florida (USA) and my BSc in Biomedical Science at the University of New England (USA).
