Ebola, MERS-CoV and Zika: contrasts and parallels

This is the first seminar in the special seminar series organised alongside the shortcourse “An Introduction to Infectious Disease Modelling and its Applications”. It will highlight some of the recent and ongoing work in infectious disease modelling including Ebola, MERS-CoV and Zika.

Neil Ferguson is Director of the MRC Centre for Outbreak Analysis and Modelling and holds a Chair in Mathematical Biology at the Dept. of Infectious Disease Epidemiology, Imperial College. He uses mathematical and statistical models to investigate the processes shaping infectious disease pathogenesis, evolution and transmission.
