Quality Specialist, Care National Hospital
Can you please tell us a bit about your current work/research?
After graduating from LSHTM with MSc Public Health in Health Services Management Stream, I secured a certification in healthcare quality. Started to work as a quality specialist in a well-established 330 bed private hospital in the capital city of Saudi Arabia.
In my current role, I need to interact with a variety of staff such as physicians from different disciples, nurses, administration staff, and operational staff. I am responsible to impart education about quality concepts and their implementation. In addition, I am involved in ensuring compliance to different national and international standards. I am always confident to contribute towards innovative ideas and projects.

MSc Public Health (Health Services Management) 2015-2018
Why did you choose to study with LSHTM?
Before enrolling, I did my research for the best universities in public health and LSHTM is a leading institute for public health.
Did you have to overcome any challenges to study with us?
At times, it became daunting to meet up with the assignment deadlines.
What were your favourite memories from your studies with us?
The teachers and their dedication are one of the best memories I made at LSHTM.
How has your LSHTM degree helped you in your career?
To work in healthcare quality it is imperative to have sound knowledge of management principles, leadership and performance management. The knowledge and ability to think outside the box, which I acquired during my post-graduation from LSHTM, substantially helped me to establish in my new role as a quality specialist.
What would you like to achieve in future?
I am looking forward to a leadership role in healthcare quality management.
Do you have any advice for students/recent graduates?
Keep your focus clear and work on your goals. There will be times of self-doubts; however, determination to achieve is the drive that keeps you going. As students schedules and day planners will be your strengths, do make time to unwind and relax.
