We are saddened by the passing of Professor José Eluf Neto, an authority on cancer epidemiology research in Brazil, who died on 14 January 2023 in São Paulo. He completed his PhD in Epidemiology & Population Health at LSHTM in 1993, showing the association between HPV and cervical cancer.
