Alumni can get involved with our careers team to help support students by giving advice and guidance during their studies. The careers team also provides a range of services for those who have graduated from the London campus within the past two years.
- Appointments
-
If you have graduated within the last two years, you can access support to help you explore career options and move ahead in your career or further study.
30 minute one-to-one appointments with a careers consultant are available Monday to Thursday. You do not need to know what career option you want to pursue in order to come for a careers appointment. They can be used for anything from exploring initial ideas to reviewing an application you are about to submit.
Practice interviews give you a chance to practise answering possible interview questions, receive feedback to hone your technique and discuss effective preparation for your forthcoming interview.
To book please email careers@lshtm.ac.uk.
- Career talks
-
We are always keen to connect current students with our alumni and often run alumni career talks for our students (virtual or face to face).
They typically consist of a brief talk by our alumni on their current work and their career path to date, especially focusing on first steps taken after moving on from their studies at LSHTM. We then give students the opportunity to ask questions. Mindful of time zones and competing commitments we record these talks, so students who cannot listen in at the time can view them afterwards.
If you would like to host a virtual career talk, please email alumni@lshtm.ac.uk to get started.
- Advertise jobs
-
If you would like to advertise a vacancy to LSHTM students or graduates please email details of the role to careers@lshtm.ac.uk.
You can also share job roles for alumni on our alumni portal, LSHTM Connect.
- Employer presentations and events
-
We are always keen to hear from companies that would like to participate in our schedule of events, either by giving a short presentation to our students, or by having a presence at one of our larger events. For further information or to register your interest please contact careers@lshtm.ac.uk.
- Resources
-
Graduates and current students can access our online careers information resources at the Careers Service on Moodle. These include recordings of events and workshops and written resources on topics including CVs, interviews, networking and job searching.
