I am a Research Fellow at LSHTM, working of the history of addictive sponsorship in British professional sport as part of the Wellcome Trust-funded 'Kicking the Habit' project. Specifically, I am working alongside Prof. Alex Mold to explore the historical causes and consequences of alcohol sponsorship in sport.

I'm broadly interested in the social and cultural histories of intoxicants, as well as the public health challenges which they can pose. My PhD research explored the history of opium consumption and indentured labour across the British Empire, whilst my Wellcome Trust-funded ISSF Early Career Fellowship explored the history of cannabis psychosis in post-war Britain.
