I am an epidemiologist and data scientist interested in utilising population-wide electronic health and social data to address evidence gaps relating to chronic liver disease and viral hepatitis. My research falls within a multidisciplinary NIHR-funded project aiming to comprehensively characterise liver disease service provision and practice across England, carried out by researchers at LSHTM, Kings College Hospital, King’s College London, and the University of Exeter. Following completion of my doctoral studies at the University of Oxford (2023), I served as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Data Science and Biostatistics at the University Medical Center (UMC) Utrecht, undertaking post-authorisation safety studies for COVID-19 vaccines and medicines. Currently I co-lead the Routine Data theme at the Centre for Data and Statistical Science for Health. I also serve as an honorary investigator in the NIHR Health Informatics Collaborative Viral Hepatitis & Liver Disease theme.
