Ms Sylvia Marinova

Maternal Health Programme Manager

United Kingdom

I joined LSHTM in 2006 and am overseeing the financial, contractual and administrative management of research grants on family planning, maternal and reproductive health within the Maternal Health Group. A recently won award is looking to address a number of key knowledge gaps around the quantification and monitoring of direct and indirect impacts of heat exposure on maternal, new-born and child health.

Together with Professor Carine Ronsmans we manage the China Medical Board Global Health Leadership Development Program designed to train young Chinese health professionals in global health research and practice.

My educational background is in financial economics and human resources management. I am currently studying a diploma course in Naturopathic Medicine and Nutrition.

Before LSHTM, I worked at the American university in Bulgaria as a Human Resources Manager for Expatriate employees.
