Olije was a Chevening Scholar and completed a joint MSc in Health Policy, Planning & Financing in 2017-18 from the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine (LSHTM) and the London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE). She rejoined LSE in 2020 to complete a PhD focusing on healthcare policy in Nigeria. Olije was the wife of Dr Sabastine Wakdok and the daughter of Prof and Prof (Mrs.) L.A Ega. She was born on 18 May 1980.
Olije dedicated her life to improving the lives of others, and this came through in her friendships and care for her family, her work as a family physician in Nigeria, and her passion for research to tackle health inequalities in her home country.
