Anthropologists have been engaged in the work of the London School of Hygiene & Tropical Medicine for a century. We now have the largest number of anthropologists employed by the School in its history. This symposium will showcase a range of anthropological research at the School – across settings and topics – and reflect on LSHTM anthropologists’ engagements with policy, practice and other disciplines in the past, present and future.

This symposium is open to all. It is an opportunity for current and alumni anthropologists to connect with each other and for those from other disciplines who work with – or would like to work with – anthropology to find out more about anthropological approaches and impacts. The event will also provide an opportunity to learn about the history of anthropology at the LSHTM and to discuss anthropology’s potential at the School into the future.
