You are invited to a wide-ranging conversation with Seye Abimbola, author of The Foreign Gaze: Essays on Global Health, to examine current events in global health in the light of the book, and how to think about the future of the field through the prism of the ideas presented in the book. Seye Abimbola is an associate professor at the University of Sydney. His teaching, writing, and research focus on epistemic practices in health systems and global health. He was the 2020-22 Prince Claus Chair in Equity and Development at Utrecht University in the Netherlands, the 2023-24 Radulovacki Visiting Scholar in Global Health Studies at Northwestern University in the United States, and the founding editor-in-chief (2015-24) of the journal BMJ Global Health.

Agata Pacho

Agata Pacho is an Assistant Professor in the Faculty of Public Health and Policy. She has been volunteering with the Decolonising Global Health, which is a community of students, staff and alumni working to challenge the status quo in global health research, teaching and careers at LSHTM and in the countries where we live and work.
