History in the making: Ross’s slides explored & explained
As part of Explore your Archive week, the School Archives have joined with School scientists to discover more about our extraordinary collection of Sir Ronald Ross’s malarial slides, dating from the 1890s. We have put Ross’s original slides under the microscope, with extraordinary results.
Ross was awarded the Nobel Prize in 1902 for his momentous discovery in 1897, proving the link between mosquitoes and malaria.
Drop by to see images of our unique investigations, talk to experts, meet the archivists and see other gems from the Ross Archive.
