School ranked in top 1% by 2016 World University Rankings

Published earlier this month, the CWUR is the largest academic ranking of global universities. It measures the quality of education and training of students as well as the prestige of faculty members and the quality of research. The CWUR ranking lists the top 1,000 out of 25,000+ degree-granting institutions of higher education worldwide.
The London School of Hygiene & Tropical Medicine is highly ranked in various global university league tables. In 2015, it was ranked third in the world for social sciences and public health in the 2015 US News Best Global Universities Ranking. It was also rated by the 2016 CWTS Leiden Ranking as Europe's top university and fifth in the world for research impact. This ranking is based on the share of institutions' outputs within the top 1% of papers by citation in all areas of science, and is independent of size of output. The School does not appear in some mainstream rankings, as it does not have undergraduate teaching.
