Dr Maysoon Dahab

Assistant Professor

United Kingdom

I am an infectious disease epidemiologist and the co-director of the Sudan Research Group. My primary focus is operational humanitarian health research. I have previously conducted research with organizations such as the Johns Hopkins School of Public Health in Malawi, Save the Children USA in Ethiopia, The Aurum Institute for Health, and the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine in South Africa, as well as collaborating with the Sudan Federal Ministry of Health.

Currently, I am researching the health impacts of the Sudan war and the community-led health response. I also support research on vaccination for underimmunized communities in Nigeria and Ethiopia. My research supports community-led approaches, where community volunteer researchers are integral to the design, implementation, analysis, and translation of research findings.
