Educational/professional background
I am a doctor with an M.B.B.S. degree from Dr. B. R. Ambedkar Medical College and an ISCCM (Indian Society of Critical Care Medicine) certification in Critical Care Medicine from renowned cardiac hospital in India, Narayana Health City, Bangalore. I am currently heading an international health project for a leading charity organisation in London to sponsor life saving heart surgery for Iraqi children born with congenital heart defects for over 4 years now.
I’m a Social Entrepreneur managing my charity organisation to assist downtrodden strata of society in the field of health and education at Bangalore, India.
I’m a public speaker and an Inter-faith panelist passionate about connecting with young minds who are the future stars of the world.
Research interests or career goals
I firmly believe a top-class healthcare system in developed countries should also assist countries struggling to establish basic healthcare facilities. I aim to contribute towards improving the current state of healthcare in countries with humanitarian crisis by making healthcare affordable and accessible to all.
My personal interest is to formulate strategies to assist children born with CHDs as a consequence of war/poverty/malnourishment/faltering healthcare, by working towards bridging the healthcare of developed countries and under developed countries. I aspire to work in world health bodies and see myself grow as a champion in healthcare industry.
Why I chose LSHTM/my programme?
There is a need to find ways to manage our resources more efficiently and effectively, transform healthcare delivery, embrace technology, strategies, support innovation, entrepreneurship, and work towards “Integrating healthcare”. To understand this better, my Master’s in Public Health at LSHTM was very vital for my growth as a promising health care leader.
