Research
My doctoral research focuses on the intersection of HIV and violence against women among pregnant and postpartum women in sub-Saharan Africa. My work will examine the epidemiology of mother-to-child transmission of HIV among pregnant and postpartum women in Sub-Saharan Africa and the impact of violence against women. In addition, I will answer critical questions on changes in violence before, during, and after pregnancy and its impact on prevention of mother-to-child transmission of HIV.
