I am an Associate Professor in Health Decision Modelling based at the London School of Hygiene & Tropical Medicine (LSHTM), a world-leading centre for research and postgraduate education in public and global health. My research is focused on the development of analytical models to inform decisions about new vaccines. I have developed models for the World Health Organization (WHO), Pan American Health Organization, Gavi alliance and UK Department for International Development. I have published over 50 papers in peer-reviewed journals, and presented on several occasions to SAGE, the principal advisory committee to the WHO on vaccines. I am the module organiser of Health Decision Science, an elective module within the Distance Learning Masters Degree programme at LSHTM.

Teaching

I am the module organiser of Health Decision Science, an elective module within the Distance Learning Masters Degree programme at LSHTM. I also tutor 3 MSc students each year and contribute to marking and exam setting. I currently supervise three Research Degree students.

Research

My research is focused on the development of analytical models to inform decisions about new vaccines. The models range from simple Excel-based decision-support models through to more complex individual-based simulation models. The models have been used to inform global WHO policy recommendations and to inform national decision-making in over 30 countries worldwide.
