I am currently studying the MSc Nutrition for Global Health full time. I have just achieved my undergraduate degree in Global Health from Barts and the London, Queen Mary University.
Research interests or career goals
I have had a growing interest in how we can tailor policies and programmes that are implemented in low- and middle-income countries. My previous degree exposed me to a wide range of issues concerned with these problems and the lack of sensitivity these programmes possess. I would like to work in a career in which I can use my knowledge of public health nutrition to help ensure successful programmes by including those we are trying to help.
Why I chose LSHTM/my programme
I chose my MSc because I wanted to continue my studies in Global Health and localise my knowledge so that I can contribute to the development of specific responses to the global health issues at hand. The reason I chose LSHTM was because I believe that learning from the world's best academics would be a unique and valuable experience. Working with others who are committed to bringing about change and reducing health inequity as I am was a fantastic opportunity that will help develop my understanding and skills to a high standard.
After living in London for the last three years I can help assisting those who are unfamiliar with the city to improve their student life, whether that entails accommodation, travel costs or exploring the city!
