I completed the MSc in Medical Statistics at LSHTM in 2004, before going on to do my PhD here. Following this I worked in the Medical Statistics Department for a number of years, before moving to work in AstraZeneca's Statistical Innovation Group. I then returned to academia, moving to the Department of Mathematical Sciences at the University of Bath. In 2022 I returned to LSHTM as a Professor in Medical Statistics.

Teaching
I currently teach on the Statistical Models for Discrete Outcomes (2462) and Causal Inference and Missing Data (2450) MSc modules. I also organise and teach on our 3 day short course on Statistical Analysis with Missing Data using Multiple Imputation.
Research
I am interested in development and application of statistical methodology for a range of biostatistics problems. Particular areas of focus are methods for missing data and measurement error. I have in recent years worked on estimands in clinical trials, and in particular how causal inference methods can be used within this area.
