Educational/professional background

I am a medical student from the University of the Philippines. As a medical student, I have worked in the Department of Health Philippines, the Philippine Red Cross, Social Innovation in Health Initiative, the International Federation of Medical Students’ Associations, and a digital health startup called Dashlabs.ai. Currently, I am also an associate editor of a Wiley journal called Public Health Challenges.

What I enjoyed most about studying my programme/at LSHTM

I valued the balance of qualitative and quantitative skills I developed through the MSc Demography & Health program, as well as the diverse perspectives I gained from collaborating with my peers.

What I have been doing since graduating

In addition to completing medical school and serving on the editorial board of Public Health Challenges, I have worked on a WHO SEARO-commissioned study on the financing of primary healthcare in South-East Asia with Chulalongkorn University in Bangkok, Thailand. I have also collaborated with the Laboratory of Data Discovery for Health at the University of Hong Kong on a systematic review examining the impact of AI on public perceptions, attitudes, and behaviors in health.
