Shereen Hussein is a Professor of Health and Social Care Policy, renowned for her extensive expertise in multidisciplinary research, specialising in health and social care. With a diverse background encompassing medical demography, statistics, and computer science, Her work encompasses various research areas within health and social care service delivery, emphasising equity and system adequacy.
Shereen's impact extends to advisory roles for the UK government, where she plays a significant part in shaping care and migration policies. In 2022, she assumed the prestigious role of a health and care workforce specialist advisor to the UK House of Commons Health and Social Care Committee, solidifying her standing as a thought leader in the field. She has leveraged her expertise on the international stage, collaborating with esteemed policy stakeholders such as the United Nations, the World Health Organisation, and the World Bank.
