Hi! I am Rachel Cheung, a 3rd year intercalating MBBS student from the University of Hong Kong. I was previously the Director on Public Health of the Asian Medical Students’ Association of Hong Kong and am currently the Standing Committee on Public Health (SCOPH) Regional Assistant for Asia-Pacific of the International Federation of Medical Students’ Associations (IFMSA).
Research interests or career goals
I am interested in topics regarding health advocacy, health services management, healthcare administration and global health governance.
Why I chose LSHTM/my programme
Given my background in public health advocacy in multiple student organizations, I wanted the opportunity to learn about public health systematically. LSHTM is a world-renowned institution that examines public health from a global perspective and emphasizes the development of skills to make an impact. With a diverse student body, unique learning opportunities and a vast professional and alumni network, choosing LSHTM provides me with the ideal platform to enhance my knowledge, broaden my perspectives, and equip me with the skills to make a meaningful contribution to the field of public health.
