Educational/professional background
I earned my degree in Veterinary Medicine in Korea, gaining practical experience in a veterinary public health laboratory and building a strong foundation in public health. During academic breaks, I interned at national agencies and universities, refining my technical skills and expanding my understanding of the field. Participation in international veterinary activities further enhanced my global perspective and cross-cultural awareness.
Research interests or career goals
Although I have yet to define a specific research focus, my academic journey has deeply engaged me in Antimicrobial Resistance (AMR) research, which I am eager to explore further. I am also particularly interested in One Health, zoonotic diseases, and the complex dynamics of human-animal interactions. I aim to pursue a PhD and advance public health research and policy at global and national levels, collaborating with international organizations or leading impactful initiatives in Korea.
Why I chose LSHTM/my programme
I chose LSHTM for its world-renowned public health expertise and inspiring connections to global health leaders such as the WHO Director-General. MSc Public Health offers the perfect opportunity to broaden my perspective, transition from veterinary public health to a more human-centred approach and equip me to address diverse public health challenges effectively.
