Lucy is an epidemiologist with a background in the control of infectious diseases. She is an educator on the London School of Hygiene & Tropical Medicine’s distance learning MSc programme. She was Associate Professor in the Department of Disease Control, London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine from 2018 to 2024 where she held a research fellowship from the UK's Medical Research Council. She was previously based at the University of Oxford and was a Visiting Scientist at Ifakara Health Institute, Tanzania. She has a master’s degree and doctorate from the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine.
