Cyclones under Climate Change: The Disaster of Idai

The Health in Humanitarian Crises Centre and Planetary Health Network are co-hosting a lecture on the impact of cyclones and climate change on human health and populations.

Ilan Kelman (UCL) will discuss disaster risk and resilience under climate change with a focus on Cyclone Idai, and Chris Jarvis (LSHTM) will share his recent experiences in Mozambique mapping the extent of Idai’s disaster.


Speakers: 

headshot of ilan kelman Ilan Kelman is a Reader in Risk, Resilience and Global Health at University College London, England and a Professor II at the University of Agder, Kristians and, Norway. His overall research interest is linking disasters and health, including the integration of climate change into disaster research and health research.
