The Centre for Data and Statistical Science for Health (DASH) brings together data science experts from across LSHTM and beyond to generate new opportunities for research training and knowledge exchange
We live in an age of digital communication, with high-volume data streams being generated as people go through their daily lives. More traditional designed studies also collect wide-ranging and complex data on individuals followed through time. A wealth of health-related information is contained within these data, but a principled approach is essential to gain reliable insights.
At the Centre for Data and Statistical Science for Health, we aim to develop and apply state-of-the-art data and statistical science to address pressing problems in global health, by undertaking more robust and efficient health research, and by translating research into practice and policy.
We facilitate interdisciplinary research and develop new approaches in data and statistical science.
We support masters degree programmes and provide training through short courses.
We foster collaboration and knowledge exchange, both internally and externally.
