The National Institutes of Health (NIH), representative for Mali, visits MRC Unit The Gambia

MRC Unit The Gambia’s, Laboratory Services will be hosting a visit from the NIH representative for Mali, Dr Fatoumata Bathily from the 22nd to 24th May 2017. Dr Bathily is the Director of the NIH National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases (NIAID) Office in Mali.
Dr Bathily will meet the Directorate, MRC Scientists, the Laboratory Services team and key members of MRCG’s Operations team to learn more about The Unit’s Laboratory procedures and key operation strategy aimed at exchanging best practices to improve our processes. During her visit, MRCG will showcase our excellent facilities, processes and overall setup to enlighten the delegates on the context in which MRCG operates.

As part of her visit, Dr Bathily will be taken on a guided tour of the facilities including Clinical Services Department, Laboratories and Biomedical Departments, Research Information Centre, Quality Department, Archives Department and our Information Technology Department.
