Haddijatou is currently developing a new deployable phenotypic assays suitable for drug sensitivity testing in remote resource poor settings across sites involved in the Human Hereditary and Health project (H3Africa-PAMGEN). Her novel data on phenotypes and genotypes associated with antimalarial drug resistance earned her a travel award to participate and present at the 11th H3Africa consortium meeting held in Uganda from 21st to 25th March 2018.

At the H3Africa-PAMGEN meeting in Uganda, Haddijatou won the best poster presentation and an outstanding oral presentation prizes.
