- Registration
-
To register for your modules, please come to the Registry in our Keppel Street building at the times below. If you are taking two modules, you will register for both at the earlier time.
Make sure to bring your completed registration form to the registration session. Do not email or send the completed form to the Registry in advance.
Please note that you will not be able to register and start attending classes until full payment has been received in LSHTM’s account by the deadline date stated on your tuition fee invoice.
- Identification
-
All students must bring their original passport to registration. If you an EU national and do not have a passport you may bring a National ID card. A UK driving licence is not an acceptable form of ID.
All students will need to submit a copy of the main passport photo page. Students from outside the European Economic Area (EEA) will additionally need to submit a photocopy of the passport page with the relevant visa stamp.
Please note that you will not be able to register and start your modules without the above identification. We will not be able to register students from outside the EEA without the appropriate visa.
- Visa information
-
It is essential that you read the information and guidance on our visa pages.
- Starting your module

Lectures and classes for modules usually start the same day as registration, so please arrive ready to begin your studies. Most modules do not require advance preparation or reading, however we will let you know by email if there is anything you need to do before starting your module.
- Storage facilities
-
LSHTM does not have storage facilities, therefore you should avoid bringing large items of luggage with you when you arrive.
- Security pass
-
Once you have completed registration, you will receive a Student Statement of Registration. This will be needed by reception staff at our Keppel Street building who will take a photo and issue your security pass. You will need your security pass to gain entry to some parts of the building, and to access LSHTM at weekends. It will also act as your library card. On the final day of your module, you should return the security pass to the Registry. You may be charged a fee of £10 if your pass is not returned.
