Educational/professional background
I am a medical doctor graduated in 2011 from university of Aleppo, Syria. I worked as internal medicine resident, primary health care doctor, and in a burn unit in North West Syria. Since 2018 I worked in many medical management positions in the primary health care sector. Our work is located in North West Syria serving the displaced and the host communities.
Research interests or career goals
During my work in the medical management field there were many questions about equity and quality of our health services with many options and priorities to choose from. My aim is to participate in the research efforts and the reforming of health services in special and complicated contexts like Syria.
Why I chose LSHTM/my programme
I chose LSHTM not only because of its international prestigious and research excellence but also because it is providing a copious Public Health program with many specialty tracks and elective modules.
