I recently graduated with a BSc in Biomedical Sciences and have worked in science communication and digital content creation. I'm passionate about making science accessible to everyone.
Research interests or career goals
I'm fascinated by the world of parasites and vectors! My current research interests were sparked by the incredible topics I've been exposed to in the MSc Medical Parasitology and Entomology programme. I'm particularly interested in metabolic parasitic immunology, One Health, vector biology, and parasitic genomics.
I'm hoping to pursue a PhD and eventually become a university lecturer and researcher who also communicates science in engaging ways.
Why I chose LSHTM/my programme
I chose LSHTM because I was looking for a warm, welcoming, and supportive community, and that's exactly what I found! Everyone here is incredibly friendly and goes the extra mile to make you feel included. I love that the student body is so diverse, with people from all over the world and at different career stages. It's a truly inspiring place to learn and grow.
I was drawn to the MSc Medical Parasitology & Entomology programme because it offers the chance to learn about both the parasitology and entomology sides of this fascinating field – they really do go hand-in-hand! Also, it is very hands-on! It's been fantastic learning from leading lecturers who are not only experts in their fields but also incredibly approachable and encourage questions both inside and outside of class.
