I am a public health professional with a Master of Public Health from the University of Melbourne and a Bachelor of Science in Public Health from Universitas Indonesia. Since my bachelor's degree, I have spent 18 years working in a diverse professional background, including as an external relations officer at the G20 Joint Finance and Health Task Force Secretariat and various positions within the Ministry of Health of Indonesia, including a position at the Centre for Global Health and Technology Policy of the National Policy Agency of the Ministry of Health Indonesia. Before I joined the government, my professional experiences included working in a university, hospital/research centre and international NGO. I started my DrPH study in September 2023 in the Department of Global Health and Development at the Faculty of Public Health and Policy.
Research interests or career goals
I am primarily interested in health and global health, focusing on policy, systems, leadership, financing and governance, with specific issues including the one health approach, antimicrobial resistance, health emergency preparedness, response, clinical trials and global health diplomacy. Through my time at LSHTM, I aim to enhance my knowledge and contribute to strengthening Indonesian and global health systems in my future career.
Why I chose LSHTM/my programme
I chose to study at LSHTM for its long reputation as one of the oldest public health schools in the world. The School is a globally recognized institution offering a Doctorate of Public Health (DrPH) and a unique curriculum integrating theory and practical application. The program's faculty, including experts in various public health domains, fosters a collaborative learning environment. I also found that LSHTM's extensive partnerships with global health organizations and access to real-world public health scenarios provide hands-on experience and impactful research. I can gain advanced knowledge and skills by choosing the DrPH program, empowering me to contribute significantly to global public health practice.
