Educational/professional background
I majored in biomedical sciences and psychology at the University of Ottawa and minored in Health Sciences (Holds an Honours Bachelor's in Science). I am currently working in clinical research and studying Public Health online full-time.
Research interests or career goals
My areas of interest are mental health, chronic illness and infectious diseases - more specifically STBBIs.
In terms of career goals, I hope to acquire a thorough understanding of the determinants of health and illness in low, middle and high-income countries, in order to improve the delivery of quality health care. Pursuing my studies here will be an important step towards my goals of becoming a public health professional working at policy level or in a clinical setting, using the skills acquired to develop, implement, and evaluate health promotion interventions to improve access to quality healthcare.
