Educational/professional background

I have a medical background and I hold a post-graduate specialization degree in infectious diseases. In the last four years, I worked in hospitals both in Italy and in Uganda with adult and pediatric patients.

Research interests or career goals

I’m mainly interested in the public health response to communicable diseases. My goal is to pursue a career as a medical epidemiologist, maintaining a focus on infectious diseases and outbreak response.

Why I chose LSHTM/my programme

I chose LSHTM due to its renowned reputation and extremely high level of teaching and research activity. Although I was also considering MSc Epidemiology and MSc Control of Infectious Diseases, I eventually decided to choose MSc Public Health due to its broader range of topics and its great flexibility in module choices.
