Pleased to meet you, I’m Janice! My journey into healthcare began with a foundation in nursing — I graduated from the National University of Singapore with a BSc in Science (Nursing) (Honours) and presently, I’m a radiology nurse in a public hospital in Singapore. At LSHTM, I’m studying the MSc Public Health (Health Promotion) by Distance Learning.

Research interests or career goals

Nursing research, focusing on evidence-based practices that enhance patient outcomes and improve the quality of care.

Why I chose LSHTM/my programme

LSHTM was a recommendation by my hospital’s epidemiologist, but I went with it for its reputation in Public Health. Additionally, I found the flexibility of the distance learning offered by LSHTM to be especially favourable, as it enables me to continue working while pursuing further education.
