I come from a background in the field of epidemiology and family medicine. I have served as a family physician at a regional hospital in Northeastern Thailand. Before joining LSHTM, I actively responded to the COVID-19 pandemic while undergoing in-service training through the Thailand Field Epidemiological Training Program (FETP-Thailand). My public health experience encompasses monitoring and evaluating public health surveillance, leading the outbreak investigation team and conducting epidemiological research.
Research interests or career goals
My research interests are mainly in applying quantitative skills, including epidemiology and health economics, to address diverse public health challenges. In the meantime, I acknowledge the important role of social and political sciences in bridging the gap between evidence and successful health policy. After graduating, I will go back to my hometown and empower local health services by using public health skills to analyse and handle forthcoming health challenges. In the long run, I enthusiastically desire to improve health by working in national agencies and international health organisations.
Why I chose LSHTM/my programme
I trusted in LSHTM's capacities to transform me into the one who will bring substantial change to the health system since I have seen many Thai health professionals who graduated from LSHTM significantly improve the healthcare system, from the one who initiated the idea of universal health coverage to the one who played an important role in responding to the COVID-19 pandemic by conducting national case predictions to guide public health decisions. I chose MSc Public Health for Development because it provides me not only the comprehensive competencies to do public health jobs anywhere in the world but also strong relationships with outstanding worldwide colleagues who aspire to make changes for better health.
