Educational/professional background

I hold a PhD degree in public health. Also master’s degrees in public health and business administration after completing bachelor degrees in biological sciences and medicine. I have been actively involved in public health practice since 2004. I have work experience in both Zambia and Nigeria.

Why I chose LSHTM/my course

I chose to study Infectious Diseases by distance learning LSHTM because it is the pinnacle of medical education in the world. And I felt incomplete without a degree from this prestigious university despite the fact that I have studied up to a PhD level in other universities.

What I have enjoyed most about my course

The highly interactive nature of the learning and the willingness of the lecturers to answer all queries, even when some of the queries sound absurd endear me to the professionalism that is highly displayed by all staff of LSHTM. The flexibility of studying that distance learning allows, the opportunity of earning well-recognized degrees, just like those obtained through full time studies, and affordability endeared me to this distance learning method.

How my programme will help my career

The programme I am studying will help me to be very relevant in my country where infectious diseases have been a recurring issues. It will soundly equip me with relevant knowledge that will aid me in contributing to sound policies in tackling the ever worrying problem of infectious diseases in Nigeria.
