Medical Doctor, Health Management and Administration Specialist.

I have served as a public servant in the Peruvian Ministry of Health for 4 years. My main experience is related to health policy design and implementation. During 2023, I was part of the policy-making team for improving access to high-cost treatments for rare and orphan disease patients.

Research interests or career goals

My research lines are access to innovative and high-cost medicines for LMIC health systems, focusing on the Latin American and Caribbean regions.

My goal is to develop a professional and academic career that allows for improving health regulation and policies in health systems, not only as a professional worker, but also as an academic professor to improve the understanding of health systems and public health for medical students.

MSc Health Policy, Planning & Financing is developed together with the London School of Economics, which ensures high-quality, multidisciplinary learning. I consider that the program has comprehensive content that allows me to reinforce my learning regarding health policies and health systems.
