Educational/professional background
Hi, I’m Neve, a medical student at the University of Manchester currently intercalating in MSc Public Health for Global Practice at LSHTM. I have undertaken research projects concerning public health in low-income settings. I am also a part-time youth worker, so am involved in many community projects. These experiences encouraged me to further study public health in a global setting.
Research interests or career goals
This MSc is already exposing me to new areas of interest and allowing me to develop my future goals. In the future, I plan to integrate clinical practice with health programme planning and advocacy, particularly in areas of conflict or crisis.
Why I chose LSHTM/my programme
I chose the programme due to the vast diversity of colleagues and tutors on the programme, with people coming from all around the world with varied work experience. I have learnt so much from discussions amongst the group.
I chose LSHTM due to the global reputation as a leading centre for research, as well as due to the wide choice of modules and extracurricular activities that are offered at the school.
