Educational/professional background

I have an MBA in Health Management with over a decade long experience in the health systems and policy sector working at national and international development agencies in India. My experience has been quite varied ranging from implementation of primary healthcare reforms, appraisal and planning of Health Workforce, research on Human Resources for Health and Governance issues, to Design, implementation and monitoring of digital health interventions that capture service data of millions of mothers and children in India. 

Why I chose LSHTM/my programme

My experience of working in organizations at the helm of health governance and public health affairs incited a deep interest in me to look beyond and understand dynamics at transnational level that affect the lives of people, particularly the underprivileged ones. LSHTM, known for its worldwide reputation in public health and policy, came as an obvious choice for pursuing my studies. 

Any extra information

Much as expected, I've enjoyed every bit of my Global Health Policy program which was a bit rigorous but highly practice-relevant and rewarding. I especially liked how the coursework helped in building my perspectives to look at health systems issues from the lens of power dynamics. It also informed me of the groundbreaking concepts in environment health, and strengthened my competencies in carrying out healthcare evaluation.
