Dr. Zacchaeus Anywaine is a PhD student in the department of Clinical Research, Faculty of Infectious and Tropical Diseases, LSHTM. His PhD concept aims at studying Rift Valley fever (RVF) immuno-epidemiology and vaccine development among humans in Uganda.

He is currently based at the LSHTM- MRC Unit in Uganda where he’s an investigator on the novel One-health ChAdOx1 RVF phase I vaccine clinical trial at the Unit site in Entebbe. He has also conducted phase I and II Ebola vaccine clinical trials as well as trials evaluating HIV microbicides, drugs for HIV, opportunistic infections and Plague (caused by Yersinia pestis).
