Department of Health Services Research and Policy, 39th annual health services research lecture
Critical challenges face healthcare leaders today including workforce shortages, funding dilemmas, care coordination issues, and the aftermath of COVID-19. Persistent variation in the quality of healthcare leadership exacerbates these challenges.
In her lecture, Naomi will explore the nature, depth and extent of this problem, and the impacts on patients, staff and on productivity. Insights from the theoretical leadership literature and from empirical research provide clues into how leadership can be improved.
Speaker
Professor Naomi Chambers, University of Manchester, UK
