On the centenary of the 1918 Spanish Flu, which claimed the lives of more than 50 million people, Professor Peter Piot will discuss the ever-present risk of another global epidemic in our increasingly interconnected world. Professor Piot will describe the complex challenges when facing epidemics, focussing on the importance of prevention and preparedness for future health threats.
