Lecture on contemporary global health issue
There are three things which make things difficult for disabled people, wherever they live in the world: the health condition which leads to disability, the ways people think about disability, and the environments people live in. We can change all three. This lecture will touch on all these changes, but will focus on how people think.

Tom Shakespeare is Professor of Disability Research at LSHTM, having previously worked in Newcastle and Norwich and at the World Health Organisation. His frst novel, The Ha-ha is coming out in paperback in March 2025, accompanied by his second novel The Ends.
