Challenges of health interventions in humanitarian crises
Humanitarian crises affect more people globally today than at any point in recorded history. These crises, such as forced displacement and armed conflict, are increasingly prolonged and complex, exerting both acute and long-term health impacts on hundreds of millions of people, predominantly in low and middle-income countries (LMIC). In this lecture, we will look at the public health consequences of humanitarian crises and the difficulties of implementing evidence-based interventions as well as future health challenges in such contexts.
