The Friendship Bench: Breaking the wall of depression with grandmothers
This lecture will provide an overview of a scheme piloted in Mbare, Zimbabwe, where trained community grandmothers encouraged people in their communities to discuss their mental health and the transformative effect that these conversations have had on thousands of individuals across the country and beyond.
