Global disparities in cancer: from prevention to survivorship

Lecture on contemporary global health issue

Global Health Lecture Series

This lecture will explore inequities in cancer across the care continuum. Cancer research has historically tended to focus on high-income settings, but the global burden of cancer increasingly affects countries at all levels of development. This talk will draw on research from multiple continents to examine the changing patterns of cancer burden and risk factors across different global settings, inequalities in cancer treatment and survival between and within countries, and the emerging challenge of cancer survivorship.
