Lessons learned from the Neonatal Knowledge into Practice (NeoKIP) trial in Vietnam

The setting is a trial in Quang Ninh province, Vietnam, where laywomen recruited from the Women’s Union facilitated monthly meetings over three years. This seminar will look at the effects, processes, contextual factors, equity impacts and sustainability.

Speaker:
Lars Åke Persson, MD PhD, paediatrician and epidemiologist, is Professor of Public Health Evaluation at LSHTM, based at the Ethiopian Public Health Institute, Addis Ababa. His previous positions include: Professor of International Child Health at Uppsala University, Sweden, and Director of Public Health Sciences at ICDDR,B, Bangladesh. His research focus is on interventions for child survival and early life nutrition and their short- and long-term effects.
