Innovative task-sharing programmes in Liberia: shared learning for other settings
Maternal & Child Health Advocacy International (MCAI) is a medical charity with a strong track record of saving and improving the lives of babies, children, pregnant women, and adolescent girls in some of the world’s poorest countries. Among others, MCAI are leading a project to extend the task-shifting approach for hospital maternity care to provide basic hospital care for newborn infants.
In a lecture followed by a group discussion, Dr Macdonald will share her experiences and lessons learnt from their task-sharing programme of MCAI projects in Liberia.
This event will be particularly relevant for students and colleagues working in neonatal/child health. Also for anyone in fields where task-sharing approaches are being considered and used.
Speaker: Dr Rhona MacDonald, Honourary Executive Director, Trustee, MCAI
