LSHTM and Global Health Film series: Out of Breath

Global Health Film is a UK registered charity using storytelling through film, animation and immersive reality to spark discussion, enhance understanding, and effect positive social change in all areas of global health including planetary health, access to healthcare, mental health, infectious disease, and refugee and migrant health. 

Out of Breath is a 63-minute film directed by Hein Seok. The film is set in rural North Korea, where a film crew follows a small group of international volunteers fighting the spread of multidrug-resistant TB; working with North Korean medics, the volunteers venture deep into the world’s most secretive nation, overcoming cultural and political hurdles to save lives.

Speakers

The panel discussion will be moderated by Dr Robin Basu Roy, Clinical Lecturer in Paediatric Infectious Diseases, LSHTM. He will be joined by Dr Bern-Thomas Nyang’wa, Médecins Sans Frontières, Dr Owen Miller, School of Oriental and African Studies (SOAS) and Dr Mishal Khan, Associate Professor of Health Policy and Systems Research.
